“(De) Habitar” es una serie de fotografías análogas, que registran el Cementerio Católico de Santiago -espacio que data de 1883 y alberga los mausoleos y nichos de más de 2.000.000 personas-, y aborda el concepto del “no lugar” planteado por Marc Augé, que se refiere a los espacios de transitoriedad que no tienen suficiente importancia para ser considerados como "lugares". A pesar de la importancia simbólica de la muerte, los cementerios son visitados nada más que por los deudos, y son solamente habitados por quienes pasarán su eternidad ahí… Pero, ¿son realmente habitados? ¿Es considerado un cementerio, como un lugar habitable? ¿Son los muertos, capaces de habitar un espacio? ¿O es finalmente la memoria la que lo hace? “(De) Habitar” registra un espacio vacío, solitario, que al mismo tiempo está lleno de personas. Registra un lugar del que la gente trata de escapar toda su vida, sólo para enfrentarse con la inevitabilidad de la muerte. Paradojalmente, los cementerios están llenos de relatos, pero nadie quién los cuente.

"(De) Habitar" is a series of analog photography from the Catholic Cemetery of Santiago - a space that dates back from 1883 and houses the mausoleums and niches of more than 2,000,000 people -, and addresses the concept of "no place" proposed by Marc Augé, which refers to temporary spaces that are not important enough to be considered "places". Despite the symbolic importance of death, cemeteries are visited only by the bereaved, and are only inhabited by those who will spend their eternity there ... But are they really inhabited? Is a cemetery considered an habitable place? Are the dead capable of inhabiting a space? Or is it finally memory that does it? “(De) Habitar” shows an empty, lonely space, which at the same time is full of people. It records a place that people try to escape their entire lives, only to face the inevitability of death. Paradoxically, cemeteries are full of stories, but no one who tells them.
